Hell-A. (Opening chapter.)

As I said, I’ve been working on this private investigator idea. I don’t know whether it would be a full-length novel or a novella, and my agent assures me that nobody is buying this kind of crap, at the moment.

But not everything I write is to get published. Sometimes it’s to try something new, see what does or doesn’t work. Sometimes it’s just to take a break from the stuff that I am contracted to do.

This was just something I came up with while I was wandering around LA. In my head it could be a series of six books. Maybe they would work as audiobooks. I like the whole first-person aspect of PI stories, where you sit on the shoulder of the main character while they do their thing.

Anyway, here is the opening. It’s for paid subscribers because I don’t give the good stuff away for free. *wink wink*
